Troubleshooting – RYOBI 18V ONE+ HP Brushless 30–34° Framing Nailer

Safety first

  • Always remove the battery before making any adjustments

If your nailer isn’t firing correctly, check the following:

  1. Battery low or insufficient capacity
    • Ensure the battery is fully charged.
A fully charged 4.0Ah battery can fire approximately 750 nails

  2. Tool not activated
    • Confirm the nailer is activated — the LED will glow green when the grip switch is squeezed (without the nosepiece depressed).

  3. Incompatible nails
  4. Damaged or rusty nails
    • Inspect nails for damage or corrosion. Replace if necessary.

  5. Magazine tensioner not positioned correctly
  6. Insufficient pressure on the workpiece
    • Apply firm pressure with the nosepiece fully depressed before pulling the trigger.

  7. Grip switch not depressed
    • Ensure the grip switch is squeezed while the nosepiece is pressed against the workpiece.

  8. Incorrect air tank pressure
