For RYOBI Angle Grinders with a tool-free locking nut, these models come fitted with a tool-free blade change nut referred to as a FixTec Locking Nut, which eliminates the need for a pin spanner.
The FixTec nut also helps prevent overtightening, as the nut should only be hand-tightened. This also helps with disc removal when the grinder has an integrated safety clutch.
If you lose the nut, you can buy a replacement from your local Bunnings store.
