Can I lock a RYOBI Angle Grinder’s switch/paddle on?

The paddle switch on this model is not designed to be locked in the ‘on’ position. This is an intentional safety feature to prevent the tool from running unintentionally, reducing the risk of accidents if the grinder is dropped or left unattended. 

For applications where continuous operation is preferred, RYOBI offers an alternative: the 18V ONE+ 125mm Angle Grinder (R18AG1), which features a slide switch that can be locked on for extended use.
