How to lock & unlock a RYOBI Dual Bevel Sliding Mitre Saw's handle
The saw's handle is locked down with a pin. Pull down the handle and hold it, then pull the locking pin all the way out. To lock back in, pull the handle down and hold, then push the locking pin all the way in.

Its possible the saw handle was pulled down or up with its locking pin not fully in or out and is now obstructing the movement. Check the pin is correctly positioned.
