Safety precautions when using a Trim Router 

Trim Routers can be dangerous if used improperly – resulting in kickback, especially when the tool is not oriented correctly or lacks sufficient support. This can also damage the material being routed. 

To ensure safe operation: 

• Secure the router bit properly before turning on the Trim Router. 
• Allow the Trim Router to reach full speed before making contact with the workpiece. 
• Always use two hands when operating the Trim Router for better control and stability. 
• Follow the correct trimming direction:
  - For internal trimming, move the Trim Router in a clockwise direction (see diagram).
  - For external trimming, move the Trim Router in an anticlockwise direction (see diagram).
