RYOBI Drill Driver has no or low power

  • Make sure you’ve adjusted the speed settings when drilling and set the clutch for driving screws or fasteners.
    • To adjust your clutch, align the arrow to a lower setting and start driving a screw.
    • If there is too much resistance, the clutch will disengage the motor.
    • Adjust the clutch to a higher number and find the sweet spot that will drive your screw to the desired depth without disengaging the motor or overdriving the screw.                                          
  • Make sure the correct Drill Bit is being used for the application, which can be determined by checking the packaging of the Drill Bit.
  • Make sure you’ve selected the right Drill for your task
    • For example, some Drills are made to use with concrete, whereas some are not. For this task  we recommend you use a Ryobi Hammer Drill or SDS Hammer Drill. 

 

If the issue isn’t resolved and it’s still within the warranty period, take it back to Bunnings along with your receipt or proof of purchase for warranty assessment.
