Never use a disc larger than the maximum cutting capacity recommended for your tool. Refer to your product user manual to confirm the correct disc size. Using an oversized disc can damage the tool and may cause serious injury to you or others nearby.
What to Check When Fitting a Disc
- The disc’s internal diameter must sit flush against the inner flange.
- The outer diameter must have even clearance from the guard and must not touch or rub against it.
- Brush wheels, diamond cup wheels and flap discs may be used, provided they comply with the above requirements.
- Never remove the guard. Incorrect fitment or using accessories that do not meet these standards can damage the tool and cause injury.
- Not all angle grinders are suitable for cutting or grinding. Ensure your grinder is designed for the task and that the disc is rated for the tool’s maximum speed.
