Troubleshooting power issues
For battery-powered Trim Routers:
- Remove the battery from the tool.
- Check the charge level. If the battery is low or empty, charge it fully.
- With the battery removed, inspect the bit and base assembly for any signs of wear, damage or obstructions.
- Once the battery is fully charged, reinsert it into the tool and try operating it again.
- To determine if the battery is defective, test it in a different compatible tool. This will help identify whether the issue lies with the battery or the Trim Router.
For AC (corded) Trim Routers:
- Unplug the Trim Router from the mains power before performing any checks.
- Inspect the power cord for any signs of damage, fraying or wear. Do not use the tool if the cord is damaged.
- With the Trim Router unplugged, check the bit and base assembly for wear or obstructions.
- Once everything is inspected and safe, plug the Trim Router back into a working power outlet and test it.
Still not working?
If the issue persists and your tool is still within the warranty period, return it to Bunnings along with your receipt or proof of purchase for a warranty assessment.
