Cleaning the chuck to improve performance

• Debris in the chuck jaws can make adjusting or tightening the chuck difficult or stiff. 

Steps to clean the chuck:

1. Fully open the chuck to expose the internal jaws.
2. Use compressed air (from a can or air compressor) to blow out dust and debris from inside the chuck.
3. For stubborn build-up, use a small cylindrical brush or pipe cleaner to gently scrub the inside of the jaws.
4. Cycle the chuck open and closed several times to help loosen and remove any remaining debris. 

Keeping the chuck clean ensures smoother operation and better grip on drill bits.
