- Press the primer bulb 10 times to draw fuel into the carburetor.
- Pull the choke out to full to prepare the engine for starting.
- Pull the starter cord until the engine tries to start, but no more than 5 pulls to avoid flooding.
- Push the choke in to half once the engine shows signs of firing.
- Squeeze and release the trigger a few times to help the engine stabilize.
- Let the engine idle for 15–30 seconds before beginning work, allowing it to warm up properly.
