How to remove RYOBI 18V ONE+ Stick Vac roller bars to clean

Before you begin:
  • For maximum performance, the dust cup, filter, filtration system and rollers bars should be cleaned regularly.
  • Always remove the battery pack before performing any maintenance.
  • How you remove the roller bars from your RYOBI 18V ONE+ Stick Vac depends on whether your model has a coin lock, or a handle lock. 

 

18V ONE+ Cordless Stick Vac (R18XSV6):
Steps Action
1 Take a coin and turn to the left until you see the unlock icon. 
2 Remove the roller bar, clean with a cloth, and then insert back into the head. 
3 Using the coin, turn to the right until it’s locked into place. 
18V ONE+ HP Cordless Pet Stick Vac (R18XSV9): 
Step Action
1 No coin is needed. Turn the green handle to the left and slide out the roller bar. 
2 Clean the bar with a cloth. 
3 Insert back into the head and turn the green handle to the right to lock it back into place.
18V ONE+ HP Pet Stick Vac Kit with Dual-Roller Bar (R18XSV9PET142): 
Step Action
1 Take a coin and turn to the left for both roller bars (there are two in this model). 
2 Pull each roller back out to clean.

The brush roll has a scissor groove for easy hair removal. With scissors, carefully cut the hair out – avoid cutting the brush hairs

The plush roll can be wiped down with a cloth.

5 Slide both bars in and lock back into place with the coin.
