RYOBI Jigsaws do not require any major assembly to get started. However, the blade is not inserted into the Jigsaw when you unbox the unit, so you will need to fit the blade correctly before operation.
- Choose the correct blade for the desired cutting application.
- Make sure your ONE+ Battery has been removed or the power turned off and unplugged before making any blade replacements.
- All Ryobi Jigsaws accept a T-shank Jigsaw Blade
- The RJS750-G, RJS850-G & R18JS-0 feature a quick-change chuck for blade replacement, whilst the battery operated RJS18X & RJS18BX feature a front facing lever for simple switch over.
- To change blades on Jigsaws that feature a quick-change chuck, twist the chuck clockwise and insert the blade as far as possible then release the chuck to spring back to its resting position - this will lock the blade into place.
- Make sure to check the blade is aligned with the guide wheel and is straight before cutting, refer to the guide below:
