How to change the blade on RBDS18 
 

Safety First  

• Remove the battery or unplug the tool before changing the blade  
• Always wear protective gloves before any maintenance.  

1. De-tensioning the blade 
   • Turn the blade tension release lever all the way anticlockwise 
2. Setting up for blade 
   • Unclip and open the blade case. 
   • Remove any protective covering from your bandsaw blade (this will make installation easier. 
3. Installing the blade 
   • Ensure that the teeth of the blade face up (away from the housing) 
   • Push the blade between the rollers first and push down. 
   • Keeping pressure on the blade, work the blade in around the drive wheels. 
   • Push the blade into place making sure that it is fully seated. 
4. Tensioning the blade 
   • Close the blade case and ensure that the clips are fully engaged. 
   • Turn the blade tension release lever fully clockwise.
