The mower itself comes pre-assembled, all that's required is to unfold the handles and assemble the grass catcher. Before you assemble your mower, you should put your battery on charge so it's ready to go upon assembly.
Unfolding the handles

| 1 | Pull and rotate the side pins halfway to release the handle. |
| 2 | Then rotate them back to any one of the two positions. |
| 3 | Unclip the two height adjustment clamps. |
| 4 | Pull the handle out to the desired position and lock it off. |

Assemble the grass catcher
| Step | Action |

| 1 | Insert the frame into the bag, making sure to keep the handle outside the bag.

| 2 | Secure the bag to the frame by pushing down all four retaining clips. |
| 3 | This mower comes with RYOBI's easy catch design - this allows you to install and remove the catcher and the mulch plug through the handles. |
| 4 | To fit the catcher to the mower, first remove the mulch plug. |
| 5 | Then position the catcher between the handles, making sure the bar goes into the groove first.

| 6 | Within this groove, there are sensors which act as a safety feature to detect whether the catcher or mulch plug are installed correctly. If not installed correctly, the mower will not start. |
