Is a suitable battery being used?
This tool performs best with a 4.0Ah Battery or higher for optimal runtime. The higher the AH battery the more runtime. If a battery lower than 4.0Ah is in use, recommend an upgrade to a higher Ah battery.
Does the task require a larger battery?
The larger the battery, the longer the tool will run. If a smaller capacity battery is being used, and the tool is not lasting to complete the task, a larger battery is needed.
Check if it is the battery, and not the tool.
Try another fully charged battery in the tool to see if it starts.
Is the battery older than 3 years?
If performance is an issue, check if the battery is old. Over time, rechargeable batteries degrade, resulting in reduced runtime.
- On the bottom of the battery, locate the serial plate which shows the manufactured year.
- A year older than 3 years is considered old and may needs upgrading.
Are you storing your tool and battery in a cold area?
Cold temperatures can affect battery performance, reducing runtime. If you are using the tool in cooler conditions, try to keep the battery and tool warm when not in use. Consider using an insulated battery jacket if available.
Are you running the tool at full power continuously?
Running the tool at full power continuously when it is not necessary can drain the battery faster. Use the appropriate power setting for your task. Lower the speed or power when feasible to conserve battery.
Is there a build-up of dust and debris?
Accumulated dust and debris inside the router's housing can amplify noise. Clean the router's base and housing regularly to prevent this.
