If you find you can't wind the locking pin of your RYOBI 18V ONE+ Garden Vacuum & Sweeper:

  • you need to first push the locking pin in before starting to wind it clockwise.

If you've wound the locking pin but it won't start

  • For all models:
    • Check the battery has charge by pressing the fuel gauge button at the front of it.
    • It needs to have two or more LEDs on
  • For models with a motor that can be detached from the main handle (R18XBLV20 & R18XBLV26):
    • The motor may not be fitted correctly to the main handle.
    • To refit the motor, line up the locating slots, push the motor in and then twist it back all the way until the button clicks into the lock position.
    • Now wind the locking pin all the way in to finger tight.
