Which grit paper should I use with my RYOBI sander?

The difference in grit selection depends on your task and intended result:

• The higher the grit number, the finer the sandpaper particles are – ideal for smoothing wood, painted surfaces or removing light varnish.
• The lower the grit number; the coarser the sand paper – preferable for more heavier duty sanding, paint removal, or rounding of rough edges.

We recommend you trial and assess the results of the different grits on a scrap piece first, before applying your project.
