Self-propelled drive helps reduce fatigue when using the mower for long periods, especially on slopes or uneven ground. It takes much of the effort out of pushing, allowing you to focus on steering rather than powering the mower forward.
The motor is controlled by the thumb paddle, which engages the drive system when pressed. Simply push the paddle to move the mower forward, and release it to stop the drive.
Speed is adjusted using the slider switch, giving you the ability to match the mower’s pace to your comfort level. This allows for smoother mowing whether you prefer a slower, controlled speed or a quicker pace.
Using the self-propelled drive will slightly reduce overall runtime because it requires additional power to operate. This is normal and expected whenever extra force is needed to move the mower under its own power.
