What does scarifying do?

Scarifying is the process of removing dead roots (Thatch) and moss from the base of your lawn. By removing this thatch from your lawn, air sunlight and water will be able to penetrate deeper into the soil, which in turn, will promote a healthier, thicker and greener lawn. Scarifying your lawn will also remove any sponginess it may have due to excess thatch.
