Battery Hedge Trimmers

  • Check battery charge level and that the battery is inserted correctly.
  • Charge the battery if it’s low on 1 bar.
  • If the current limit of the tool has been reached and the circuit has tripped, remove the battery and reinstall it before continuing work.
  • If the battery is overheated/warm to touch, allow it to cool then reinsert it.

Electric Hedge Trimmers

  • Ensure the plug is inserted correctly into the extension cord and the extension cord is plugged in to the mains power socket.
  • Check that there is no damage to any cord or plug. If there is any damage to any cord or plug, discontinue use immediately.

Petrol Hedge Trimmers

  • Check that there is fresh fuel in the tank. The storage life of petrol in equipment fuel tanks is one month.
  • You can add a fuel stabiliser to increase this to 12 months.
  • If your fuel is ‘off’, you will need to drain the old fuel and replace with fresh fuel.
