Tips for Feeding and Installing New Cord on Your Ryobi Whipper Snipper

Safety First

• Press the battery latch buttons and remove the battery pack.
• Place the trimmer motor-side down, with the blade guard facing up.

Align the Bump Knob

• Rotate the bump knob until the line indicator aligns with the arrows on the outer spool.

Prepare the Line

• Use 2.0 mm diameter nylon line.
• Cut a piece approximately 3.0 metres long.

Feed the Line

• Insert one end of the line into the eyelet on the side of the string head.
• Push it through until it exits the opposite eyelet.
• Pull the line until both sides are equal in length (max. 1.65 m per side).

Wind the Line

• Use the speed winder or rotate the bump knob by hand to wind the line.
• Leave about 12 cm protruding from each side of the trimmer head.
