Sparking on Brushed Motor Tools
It is normal for new brushed motor tools to produce sparks during initial use. This occurs because the carbon brushes inside the motor have not yet worn in. Over time, this sparking will reduce as the brushes settle.
However, if you notice intermittent or violent sparks around the motor, power cord, or battery compartment, this indicates a fault that requires repair.
While sparking is part of normal operation, exercise caution. Sparks can ignite debris such as sawdust and, in extreme cases, flammable gases. Always ensure your work area is clean and well-ventilated.
If the problem persists and your product is still within its warranty period, return it to the retailer with your receipt or proof of purchase for a warranty assessment.
