RYOBI Impact Driver cutting out

  • Employ a higher speed setting via the Selector Switch on top or the foot of the tool.
  • Make sure the highest speed is selected for the highest driving performance.
  • Check the battery charge level via the fuel gauge. If the battery is fully charged and still lacks performance, try another fully charged battery.
  • Check your battery in another tool to ensure the batteries are functioning properly.
  • Check if the trigger can be fully depressed.
  • Your Driver may be overheating or requiring too much power to complete the task – this occurs when you push the driver beyond its working capacity. If the tool stops because of this reason, the tool’s LED may flash (on Brushless models) and the trigger will not engage the tool.
  • Remove the battery from the tool and check the battery indicator lights for charge level. If low, it may need to be re-charged before continuing.
  • If warm or hot to touch, the battery may need to cool down before continuing. Otherwise, re-engage the battery into the tool. Depress the trigger under no load to check if the tool functions correctly, then continue working, making sure to back off the speed or load on the tool.

 

If the issue isn’t resolved, and it’s still within the warranty period, take it back to Bunnings along with your receipt or proof of purchase for warranty assessment.
