- Check if the plug of the unit is firmly plugged into the power outlet. A loose connection could result in power cut-offs and stopping the Gun from working properly.
- Untangle any knot on the cord to avoid inconsistency supply of electricity to the Heat Gun.
- Ensure the nozzle of the unit is not too close to the heating surface and causing it to overheat. RYOBI Heat Guns come with thermal protection technology that de-activates the heating coil when the nozzle is too close to the surface being heated. The fan will continue to operate, and the heating coil will automatically activate after the coil has cooled down.
- Check if the intake vents and hot air nozzles at the rear of the tool are clean and not blocked. Blockages in the intake vents and air nozzles can be caused by dust and debris from previous jobs. Maintain these parts after every 2 to 3 uses to keep your Heat Gun working in good condition.
