Applicable Models

R18CS-0, RCS18X, RCS1500-G

Cutting out could be a result of either wear and tear on the Circular Saw Blade itself requiring replacement, or an application or battery issue.

Inspect Blade

  • Regularly inspect the blade for any signs of damage (broken teeth, wear and tear, etc), and replace if necessary - ensuring to replace the damaged/broken blade with one of the same size.

Inspect Battery

  • If you have a Corded Circular Saw, unplug the unit from the mains power before inspecting your cord for any signs of damage or fraying, before inserting back into a working mains power outlet.
  • Remove and re-insert battery as shown below:
  • Replace the 18V ONE+ battery with a freshly charged and rested battery.
  • Try the original 18V ONE+ battery in another tool to isolate and determine whether there may be fault with the battery rather than the Circular Saw tool itself.
  • Circular Saws have high power draw compared to other tools – consider using a larger capacity HP battery for optimal performance.

Inspect Power Cord

  • If you have a corded saw, ensure the power cord is in good shape and undamaged.
  • If using an extension cord, don’t exceed 25m as this causes power drop off.

If the issue isn’t resolved and the Circular Saw is still within the warranty period, take it back to Bunnings along with your receipt or proof of purchase for warranty assessment and replacement.
