Adjusting Fastener Driving Depth
To ensure your fasteners are driven to the correct depth, follow these steps. Always test on a scrap workpiece before starting your actual project.
Method 1: Adjust Air Pressure (Pneumatic Models)
- Locate the air pressure adjustment dial on the back of the nailer.
- Rotate the dial to increase or decrease pressure.
- Drive a test fastener and assess the depth.
- Repeat adjustments as needed until the desired depth is achieved.
Method 2: Use the Depth Adjustment Knob
- Disconnect the tool from the air supply before making any adjustments.
- Turn the depth adjustment knob left or right to increase or decrease driving depth.
- Reconnect the air supply.
- Drive a test fastener after each adjustment until the desired depth is reached.
