How to Use a Ryobi Nail Gun: Tips and Tricks

1. Safety First

• Wear eye protection and other appropriate PPE.
• Ensure the battery is removed before loading nails or making adjustments.
• Never point the tool at yourself or others.

2. Load Nails

1. Pull back the pusher on the rear-loading magazine.
2. Insert appropriate nails/staples- Please refer to manual for appropriate nail/staple sizing.
3. Push the pusher up gently to secure the nails, it will click in.

3. Insert Battery

• Slide the compatible RYOBI ONE+ battery into the battery port until it clicks.

4. Adjust Depth of Drive

1. Rotate the depth adjustment wheel to set how deep nails are driven.
2. Test on scrap material to confirm the setting.

5. Fire a Nail

1. Press the safety contact tip firmly against the workpiece, it will depress.
2. Hold the trigger for at least 0.5 seconds to fire a nail.
3. Let the tool recoil naturally—do not press it down forcefully.

6. Clear a Jam (if needed)

1. Remove the battery.
2. Open the jam release mechanism.
3. Clear any stuck nails or debris.
4. Close the mechanism and reinsert the battery.
