What is the Safety Lock System?

The Safety Interlock System shuts down the blades, should you leave your RYOBI 80V 54" Lithium Zero Turn Ride-On Mower seat while the unit is still running.

To test the Safety Interlock System:

Step Action
1. To test that the system is working correctly, position the mower on a level surface like a concrete driveway where items can’t be struck by the blades.
2. Set the parking brake and place the joystick in to the neutral position, and ensure the blade system button is down.
3. Remember to keep bystanders clear when testing the system.
4. Insert the start key and turn it to the ‘on’ position.
5. Raise the blade engage knob to activate the blades.
6. Briefly lift yourself off the seat, but don’t get off the mower.
7. The blades should shut off within five seconds. If they don't, recheck that you have connected the safety interlock cable as described when installing the seat. The connectors need to be firmly pressed together fully
