Other than fitting the height adjustment handle and opening the support tables, the machine is fully assembled.
As Thicknessers are very heavy, it’s highly recommended to mount them either securely to a bench or sturdy portable stand.
You need to allow around 2 metres around the machine to move around the Thicknesser as you handle the timber, when feeding the timber in and supporting it as it exists. Then you will need more space and a second person when handling longer lengths of material.
To adjust the planning height, at the front of the machine there is a scale for your height adjustment, which is controlled by a handle on the top.
