- Remove the battery pack to ensure the trimmer cannot start accidentally.
- Place the trimmer motor-side down with the blade guard facing up for safe and stable access.
- Rotate the bump knob until the line indicator aligns with the arrows on the outer spool. This ensures proper winding direction.
- Cut your line to a maximum length of 3.2 m to fit the spool correctly.
- Insert one end of the line into the eyelet on the side of the string head and push it through until it comes out of the opposite eyelet.
- Pull the line through until both sides are equal in length, up to 1.60 m per side.
- Wind the line around the spool using the speed winder or by hand, leaving approximately 12 cm protruding from each side for use.
