How to maintain my chainsaw?

  1. Remove the battery pack.
  2. Loosen the chain tension: Turn the chain tensioner knob and adjustment ring counterclockwise.
  3. Remove the sprocket cover: Loosen the cover, then take off the bar and saw chain.
  4. Take out the old chain tensioner: Dispose of the old bar and chain properly.
  5. Install the new saw chain: Place it on the bar.
  6. Position the chain: Insert the drive links into the bar groove, ensuring the chain faces the right direction.
  7. Reattach the bar: Loop the chain around the sprocket and align it with the tensioner. Tighten the chain as needed.
  8. Reinstall the cover: Put back the inner tensioner and sprocket cover.
  9. Adjust chain tension: Ensure there’s a 4-5.5 mm gap between the drive teeth and bar, adjusting as necessary.
  10. Secure everything: Lock the chain tensioner and sprocket cover in place.
