Battery Care Tips

Extreme Temperatures

  • Avoid charging or storing batteries in extreme heat or cold. Try to keep the temperature of battery storage and charging locations between 10°C and 37°C.
  • Before using in cold weather, store batteries at room temperature or slightly warmer.
  • The battery can be used in temps down to -10°C, simply put the battery in a tool and use in a light duty application. Eventually the battery will heat up and resume normal operation.

  • Store RYOBI batteries in a sheltered location, away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, rain, fire (direct heat) or other environmental extremes.
  • Do not store in a vehicle.
