Troubleshooting: Multi Tool Will Not Start
- Check the Switch Position
If the battery was fitted while the switch was in the ON position, the tool will not start.
- Switch the tool OFF, then insert the battery, and turn the tool ON.
- Test with Another Battery
Try a fully charged battery in the tool to confirm whether the issue is with the battery or the tool.
- Inspect Battery Contacts
Examine the contacts on both the tool and the battery.
- Ensure they are clean and free from debris or corrosion, as dirty contacts can block power flow.
- Consider Overheating
If the tool has been used for heavy applications or extended periods, the motor may have overheated.
- Allow the tool to cool down before restarting.
- Check Accessory Installation
If an accessory (such as a cutting blade or sanding pad) is attached, make sure it is installed correctly and not obstructing the tool’s operation.
